Project Update: June 2019
Crews continue sidewalk work along the southside of Brannan Street between 8th Street and 9th Street. The sidewalk work at this location will be completed soon.
The contractor also continues street base replacement work on Brannan Street. This phase of work requires the contractor saw-cut portions of the roadway, remove the broken concrete base, and pour back fresh concrete. Replacing the damaged street base now will help prolong the life of the new asphalt once the street is repaved.
Upcoming Grinding and Paving
On Saturday June 22, 2019, crews are scheduled to grind and pave the Brannan and 6th streets intersection. The grinding and paving work will be completed in one day. The work is being performed on the weekend due to the large volume of traffic entering and exiting the freeway.
Vehicles traveling westbound will be detoured at the 5th Street intersection and eastbound traffic will be detoured at the 7th Street intersection. Local traffic will still be allowed access.
The last section of grinding and paving work will be on Brannan Street between 8th Street and Division Street. This section has been scheduled for Monday July 8th and Tuesday July 9th.
